Waling end league campaign with a consolation victory

Waling Municipality concluded their ANFA Women’s League campaign on a positive note with a 3-1 victory over Bagmati Youth Club at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato on Tuesday.
This marked Waling’s first win in the second phase of the league after suffering seven consecutive defeats. The team finished with three points, but their chances of entering the playoffs had already ended.
Despite the loss, Bagmati secured fourth place and will play in the playoffs, ending the league stage with four points.
Sushma Tamang was the standout player for Waling, scoring a remarkable hat-trick with goals in the 56th, 68th, and 85th minutes. Earlier, Bagmati had taken the lead through Sara Limbu in the 32nd minute.
The league’s final fixture on Wednesday will see the top two teams, APF and Army, face off to determine the group winner.
