Nawalpur
Two youths went missing while swimming in Kaligandaki river in East Nawalparasi on Saturday.
Santosh Pathak, information officer of East Nawalparasi District Police Office, said Suraj Subedi, 24, of Chitwan and Ramesh Chalise, 25, of Gaindakot Municipality-2 disappeared in the river at Gaindakot-3.
Muktiram Sharma of Baglung, who went swimming with them, is safe, police said.
Security personnel from the Armed Police Force and Nepal Police are searching for the missing youths.
The number of people swimming in rivers and lakes has increased with the scorching heat. A few days ago, a teenager drowned in Narayani river.
