Two dead, one seriously injured in Salyan jeep crash

Two people died on the spot and one was seriously injured when a jeep laden with vegetables met with an accident in Salyan district on Monday morning.
According to police, the jeep heading to Dang from Rolpa crashed at Setapaira near Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 along the Rapti Highway around 6:30am causing the fatalities.
According to police, the deceased are a 25-year-old driver and a 50-year-old jeep owner from Tulsipur.
Narayan Yogi, 35, a resident of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-2, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to the Provincial Hospital in Dang for treatment, said Police Inspector Gopal Shrestha, who is also the information officer at Salyan District Police Office.
He said the jeep veered off the road and fell some 300 metres after the driver lost control of the steering.
