Police seize opium, hashish, and marijuana in Makawanpur

Makawanpur police have confiscated opium, hashish, and marijuana from three individuals in two separate incidents.
During a routine traffic check at Tistung Naukhanda, of Thaha Municipality-11, police arrested two Indian nationals travelling in a car with an Indian registration plate. The suspects, identified as 25-year-old Kunath Gothwala (the driver) and 20-year-old Manish Kumar, both from Haryana, were found with 21.460kg of hashish and 3.470kg of opium.
In another incident, police at the Ratomate checkpoint in Hetauda intercepted a vehicle en route from Chitwan to Birgunj. The driver, identified as 20-year-old Raut Kurmi, was found in possession of 101kg of marijuana.
Superintendent of Police Bishwaraj Khadka confirmed that all three suspects remain in custody, with further investigations underway.
