Prime Minister Oli receives guard of honour in Bangkok

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour upon his arrival at a government building in Bangkok on Wednesday.
Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra Paetongtarn Shinawatra welcomed Oli, marking the first official visit by a Nepali prime minister to Thailand in 65 years.
Leading the Nepali delegation for his first official visit to Thailand and to attend the summit, Prime Minister Oli left for Bangkok on Tuesday.

The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations between Nepal and Thailand, focusing on cooperation in sectors such as tourism and culture. During the trip, the two leaders are expected to sign agreements and memorandums of understanding to enhance collaboration in these areas.
Prime Minister Oli’s delegation includes his spouse, Radhika Shakya, and Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba. The visit also encompasses participation in the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Summit, where Oli will address regional leaders and engage in discussions to bolster multilateral cooperation.
