Four killed in road accidents in Bara and Dang
In Bara, a tipper truck crashed into car, and in Dang, bus went out of control.Post Report
Two separate road accidents in Bara and Dang districts on Friday resulted in four fatalities and left more than 10 injured, the police said.
In Bara, a head-on collision involving a car and a tipper truck on the Nijgadh-Pathlaiya road near Bhui Phul claimed two lives. The accident occurred in ward 16 of Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City when the tipper, heading towards Pathlaiya, crashed into a car.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijayaraj Pandit, spokesperson for the Bara District Police Office, identified the deceased as the car’s driver—but his identification details remain unknown—and 46-year-old Narayan Hari Sharma from ward 15 of Barahathwa Municipality in Sarlahi. Both were pronounced dead by doctors at Nijgadh Community Hospital.
The tipper driver fled immediately after the crash. Police have seized both vehicles and launched an investigation.
Meanwhile, in Dang, a bus travelling from Krishnanagar to Lamahi veered out of control near Singe Khola along the Lamahi-Bhalubang road section, killing two and injuring more than 10 passengers.
Superintendent of Police Arjun Prasad Timilsina, chief of Dang District Police, said 56-year-old Nilsaroj Yadav of ward 5 of Rajpur Rural Municipality died on the spot, while a woman, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
The injured are receiving care at health facilities in Sisahaniya and Lamahi.
