Man dies after gun ‘misfires’
Police detain 10 suspects for investigation.

A 24-year-old man, Naresh Sarki, was killed “after a musket gun misfired” during hunting at ward 1 of Barchhen of Badikedar Rural Municipality. According to the Doti District Police Office, Sarki had gone on a hunt to the forest on Thursday evening and died on the spot after a bullet struck his right chest.
Preliminary police investigation showed that the musket gun, carried by 48-year-old Kamal Singh Khadka, allegedly misfired after accidentally hitting a tree.
The accident occurred near Bedupata river bank, in ward 1 of Badikedar Rural Municipality.
Police have arrested Kamal Singh Khadka, Khem Khadka, Singh Khadka, Tejendra Bhatt, Amar Shah, Sunil Bam, Ganesh Gharti Magar, Man Bahadur Shah and Julesh Namjali Magar for investigation in connection with the incident, according to the district police.
