A couple has been found dead at Dhodekol of Kapilvastu District on Wednesday.

According to police, a 60-year-old man and his 55-year-old wife were found dead in their room in Banganga Municipality-8.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Wali, a neighbour informed the police after he saw the man hanging at around 8:30 am.

Based on certain circumstantial evidence, it is suspected that the man committed suicide after killing his wife following dispute between the two, said Wali.

According to police, the couple have three sons. Of them, two are abroad and one lives in Kathmandu. So, police suspect the incident might have taken place when there was no one at home.

Police said they spotted injuries in the woman’s body, adding they are conducting further investigation.
