A man died, and another was injured when two trucks collided on the Bartung-Ramdi section of the Siddhartha Highway in Palpa on Tuesday.
The accident occurred at ward 3 of Rambha Rural Municipality when a truck, travelling from Butwal to Pokhara, lost control and hit another truck heading in the same direction.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Malla of the District Police Office, Palpa, the driver of the first truck, 23-year-old Bhuwan Singh Rana of ward 3 of the rural municipality, died during treatment at Lumbini Medical College.
The helper of the second truck, 21-year-old Sanjit Khawas Thapa from Syangja, sustained injuries.
An investigation is underway, police said.
