A man accused of defrauding people by promising jobs in the Armed Police Force has been arrested, police said.
Tul Ram BK, 32, of ward 6 of Godawari Municipality in Kailali, was detained on Wednesday on the charge of offering fake job placements.
A team from the District Police Office in Darchula, with assistance from the Area Police Office in Malakheti, apprehended BK from Attariya.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Dahal, chief of District Police Office, Darchula, said BK is currently in police custody for further investigation into fraud allegations.
BK reportedly collected Rs535,700 from Indra Singh Dhami’s son from Darchula, promising him a job in the Armed Police Force, before absconding with the money.
