Kamalpokhari gas cylinder explosion toll rises to three after another injured dies

The death toll from the cooking gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, has risen to three after another victim died from injuries.
Pradeep Tamang, 22, from ward 7 of Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality, who had been living in Kamalpokhari, passed away while undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nepal Cleft and Burn Centre in Kirtipur.
He died at around 2:30pm on Friday, police said, quoting his brother-in-law, Nabin Tamang.
Earlier, Rabin Rai, 18, from Hetauda, Makwanpur, and Bhim Bahadur Ghale, 25, from Udayapur, had also succumbed to their injuries.
The explosion, which was caused by a gas leak at the eatery on February 6, left 11 people injured. The other injured victims are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital.
