In the heart of Kathmandu Valley, places like Kamal Pokhari, Guhyeshwari’s Gaurighat, and Kupondole have transformed into vibrant Chhath worship sites. Devotees gather to offer ‘arghya’ to the setting sun and to worship Chhathi Maiya.

Among those attending the Chhath Puja at Kamal Pokhari and Guhyeshwari were President Ram Chandra Paudel and other distinguished guests, joining worshippers in the serene rituals.

The ponds are adorned with colourful flags, and illuminated with festive lights, creating a radiant setting for the Chhath celebrations.
