Models from all over the world strut the ramp for ‘Designer’s Runway’
The thirteenth edition of the event by IEC College showcased pieces by 73 young designers.Post Report
IEC College of Art and Fashion organised its annual ‘Designer’s Runway’ at Hotel Yak and Yeti in Durbarmarg, Kathmandu, on Friday.
Graduating designers took centre stage to unveil their collections, creating a fusion of glamour and creativity at the event. While it initially started as a university assignment, the runway show has evolved into a grand spectacle and is one of the most anticipated fashion events in the country. This year, 73 young designers from the 2021 batch unveiled their designs at the event.
The show featured 15 sequences: ‘Lavishness of Embellishment’, ‘Dusk till Dawn’, ‘Monochrome Gilded Glam’, ‘Majestic Celestial Array’, ‘Beneath the Aurora Tides’, ‘Ethereal Mosaic’, ‘The Antirrhinum Flower’, ‘A Chandelier Affair’, ‘Artisanal Allure’, ‘Serge De Nimes’, ‘The Good Touch’, ‘Journey to the East’, ‘The Eightfold Blessing Astamangal’, ‘Prana: Breath of Style’ and ‘Amorist’.
A total of 19 local models, 12 international models and eight show stoppers walked the show. Popular names in the modelling industry, including Sabita Karki, Miss Universe Nepal 2023 Jane Dipika Garrett, Miss Nepal World 2022 Priyanka Rani Joshi and actor Priyanka Karki, shared the stage with international models like Ana Stanic (Serbia), Anna Palii (Russia) and Mr India 2017 Mohit Sharma, among others.
Yatin Narendra Gandhi from India choreographed the event, which was managed by Next Models Nepal and hosted by Sanjay Silwal Gupta. Luza Makeup Studio handled the hair and makeup for the show.
