Gandaki Chief Minister Pandey expands Cabinet

Gandaki Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey on Friday expanded his Cabinet by inducting four new ministers.
Pandey appointed Dipendra Bahadur Thapa, Mahesh Dhwaj GC and Jit Prakash Ale Magar of the Nepali Congress and Resham Bahadur Jugjali of the CPN (Maoist Centre) as ministers.
Thapa has been appointed the minister for industry, tourism and forest and environment; GC the minister for agriculture and land management, and Ale Magar the minister for economic affairs.
Likewise, Jugjali has been appointed minister for physical infrastructure development and transport management.
The newly appointed ministers took oaths from provincial head Prithvi Man Gurung.
Nepali Congress provincial assembly leader Pandey was appointed chief minister on April 27.
The Nepali Congress and the CPN (Maoist Centre) have agreed to lead the government by turns in the province.
CPN-UML leader Khaga Raj Adhikari-led government collapsed after he failed to garner a vote of confidence on April 22.
