Police seize foreign currency worth Rs250 million in Kathmandu
Arrest made in Tokha area; further investigation underway.

Kathmandu
Police have seized foreign currency valued at nearly Rs250 million. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended an individual carrying the amount, which includes US dollars and euros.
Superintendent of Police Ramesh Basnet said that the currency was found hidden in a vehicle in the Tokha area during the night. “Further investigation is ongoing,” Basnet said, adding, “Due to the large quantity, a machine is being used to count the notes.”
The seized currency is estimated to be worth around Rs250 million. Police have announced plans to hold a detailed briefing on the case later today.
