Three missing after vehicle plunges into Sunkoshi River

Three people are missing after an Isuzu Hilux vehicle, en route from Halesi of Khotang district to Kathmandu, plunged into the Sunkoshi River near Kundule, Golanjore Rural Municipality-1, Sindhuli, on Saturday evening.
According to Govinda Raj Kafle, chief of Sindhuli District Police, Sushant Kakshapati, a 27-year-old resident of Jagati, Bhaktapur, sustained injuries while jumping from the falling vehicle. He later reported the accident to the police.
Kakshapati is receiving treatment at Sunkoshi Community Hospital in Khurkot.
According to Kafle, the missing individuals include 32-year-old driver Abin Bade, 30-year-old Pranit Syagu, and 37-year-old Balram Ghatua, all residents of Jagati, Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur.
He added that divers from the Armed Police Force have been deployed to search for the missing persons.
The fatal accident comes a day after a tragic bus crash at Anbukhareni of Tanahun district. Twenty seven Indian nationals were killed and 16 others were injured in the Tanahun bus accident.
