Three dead in separate floods in Madhesh Province

Three people have died after being swept away by floods in various rivers in Madhesh Province on Tuesday.
In Dhanusha, a 16-year-old boy from Mithila Municipality-1 was swept away by the flooded Basahi stream on Tuesday.
According to Inspector Bikram Sah of the District Police Office, Dhanusha, the boy died on the way to the hospital after being rescued.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife went missing in the Kamalani River near the Kamala Barrage. The couple from Ganeshman Charnath Municipality-7 had gone to the river to collect driftwood brought by floods in the river.
According to the District Police Office Dhanusha, the search for them is on.
In Sarlahi, two people died in separate floods in the Bagmati and Banke rivers. Police have so far rescued two people who were trapped in the floods in the district.
According to the police, 65-year-old man of Samanpur in Gadhimai Municipality of Rautahat district died after being swept away by the flooded Bagmati river which flows through the border of Sarlahi and Rautahat districts.
Similarly, 60-year-old man of Basantpur in Haripurwa Municipality-7 died after being swept away by the flood in the Banke river that flows through Sarlahi-Mahottari border.
