PARSA: Chaos ensued at the office of the Birgunj Metropolitan City on Tuesday when supporters of the mayor and deputy mayor clashed following a dispute over shifting of the Social Security and Registration Unit office to a new room.

The situation was brought under control by a team of security personnel led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kumar Bikram Thapa of the District Police Office.

According to Thapa, a few people were injured in the clash and the situation had calmed down. The dispute occurred after the deputy mayor Imtiyaz Alam wanted the room for himself, according to Thapa.
