Police arrested an Indian national in possession of Rs600,000 in suspicious cash from ward 10 of Birgunj Metropolitan City in Parsa district on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Ward Police Office in Birta detained Om Kumar Rauniyar, aged 27, of the bordering Indian town of Raxaul.
The money, of which the suspects could not show a legitimate source, was seized from Rauniyar’s motorcycle with Indian registration number.
Detailed investigation is underway into the case, said police.
