Rescuers on Saturday continued to search for three officials of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) missing in Sunkoshi River following a jeep accident on Friday.
Divers, security personnel of the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force, the Nepal Army and locals are searching for the missing people.
Preparations have been made to divert water from the original course as the high flow of water is causing difficulty in the search operation.
Rescuers have assumed the jeep to be submerged some 15 metres downstream from the incident site in Laukun, Golanjor Rural Municipality Ward 7.
CTEVT administration division director Krishna KC, 57, of Tanahun; director of project division Yam Prasad Bhurtel, 56, of Nawalparasi East and technician Bhanu Poudel, 32, of Ilam have been missing after the accident.
The vehicle’s driver, Krishna Chaudhary, managed to save himself by jumping off the vehicle heading to Khotang from Bhaktapur.
