23 injured in separate bus accidents

At least 15 people were injured following a bus accident in Dolakha on Friday.
According to the police, a passenger bus heading to Kathmandu from Gairimudi in Baiteshwor Rural Municipality fell some 40 metres down the road at Gopikhola, a border area between Baiteshwor and Tamakoshi rural municipalities.
Police informed that the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle resulting in the vehicle plunging down the road.
The injured were rescued by police and locals and sent to Charikot district headquarters for treatment.
Police said that some of the passengers have sustained serious injuries.
In another accident involving a passenger bus heading to Kathmandu from Dolakha, eight people were injured when the vehicle swerved from the road into a roadside shop in Khadichaur market of Balefi Rural Municipality in Sindhupalchok district.
Inspector Mukesh Neupane of Barabise Area Police Office said that the injured have been taken to Sindhu Sadabahar Hospital for treatment.
Neupane informed that the driver lost control of the bus after the vehicle’s brake failed resulting in the accident.
