Body of missing woman retrieved from Bakaiya river bank

The body of a woman, who went missing on Sunday after being swept away by the Bakaiya river in Makawanpur, was retrieved on Monday.
Laxmi Bhandari, deputy superintendent of police at the Makwanpur district police office, said that the body of Nanu Maya Titung, 36, an inhabitant of Bakaiya rural municipality-6, was found on the bank of Bakaiya river at Bara Kolhabi municipality-2 during a search.
Nanumaya was swept away by the river while returning home after bidding farewell to her son Tsering Titung.
Tsering, who was on his way to Saudi Arabia on Monday night, returned to the village after hearing the tragic news related to his mother. Tsering’s father, who was planning to fly to Kathmandu to bid farewell to his son was also injured at a dog bite in Nijgadh of Bara district on Sunday.
