A man has died and one more got injured when a motorcycle on the way from Nepalgunj to Rajapur met with an accident at Gamakka Ghumti along the Hulalki Highway in Madhuwan Municipality-2, on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Bardiya police, Se 13 Pa 4303 bike lost control at a bend in Madhuwan leading to the death of 24-year-old Topendra Budha from Mahadevbali in Rajapur Municipality-6, Bardiya.

Budha, a pillion rider, sustained critical injuries and passed away during treatment at Bardiya Hospital in Gulariya, the police said.

Meanwhile, the motorbike’s rider, 24-year-old Chhatra Bahadur Bista from Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-1, Banke, sustained severe injuries. He was initially taken to the District Hospital in Bardiya but has since been referred to Banke for further treatment.
