The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) staged a protest at Balkhu, Kathmandu, on Tuesday, demanding the reinstatement of constitutional monarchy and the establishment of Nepal as a Hindu state.
Led by RPP chair Rajendra Lingden, the protest is organised under the slogan ‘Let’s change the system to change the situation.’ The party also called for the release of its Vice-chair Rabindra Mishra and General Secretary Dhawal Shamsher Rana, arrested during a previous protest on March 28.
Security has been heavily reinforced, with over 2,000 police personnel deployed to ensure a peaceful demonstration.
