When rain, music and emotions came together
Sushant KC’s long-awaited live concert in Nepal blended heartfelt melodies with high-energy performances.
Post Report
On Saturday, March 8, the sky turned grey as a light downpour embraced the ground, and a cool breeze filled the evening air. At Sallaghari ground, Bhaktapur, people huddled closer to seek warmth, just as Sushant KC set the evening in motion with his song ‘Gulabi’.
After more than two years of hiatus, this was KC’s first-ever live show in Nepal.

After ‘Gulabi’, he moved on to other emotional numbers like ‘Aama’ and ‘Muskurayera’. When the singer performed ‘Aama’, many in the crowd hugged their mothers—tears streaming down their faces.
As the concert progressed, KC shifted gears, bringing in upbeat and energetic tracks like ‘Kya Kardiya’ and ‘Bardali’, which had the crowd dancing and jumping enthusiastically. The background dancers brought more energy to the event. After singing ‘Kya Kardiya’, he said, “Music transcends language and borders.”
The diverse audience ranged from kids, young adults, parents, and elderly attendees. Even with dark clouds and a dreary sky, the expected rain did not arrive. Instead, a soft drizzle fell, enhancing the atmosphere of the concert.

As it went on, the audiences were delighted to see a surprise collaboration. KC invited fellow artists Prabesh Kumar, Swoopna Suman, and Wangden Sherpa on stage. Suman performed ‘Je Chau Timi’, Sherpa sang ‘Timi Nacha Na’, and Prabesh delivered an energetic performance.
KC’s interaction with the crowd was another highlight of the night. At one point, he divided the audience into groups A, B, and C, getting each section to sing along in turns. This made the event engaging and non-monotonous. Throughout the evening, he repeatedly thanked his fans for their support and presence at his concert.
With the rain subsiding, the sky opened, and the moon illuminated the venue, enhancing the evening’s beauty.
By 9:00 pm, the concert wrapped up. This show was a flood of emotions, blending emotional, heartfelt melodies with high-energy performances that captivated the audience.
