22 Nepali stranded in Qatar

Twenty-two Nepali migrant workers have been left in lurch in Qatar after the operator and manager of the company they were working for went out of contact depriving them of their salary. The stranded Nepalis have not received their salary of the past four months.
Victims said they had knocked the door of Nepali Embassy and government officials but in vain. They had reached Qatar some eight months ago through Nile Overseas. They were employed by teamwork.realestate company in Qatar.
The stranded Nepali are Krishna Prasad Dhakal from Chitwan, Ravi Khatri of Butwal, Hari Narayan Tharu and Safiq Mahammad Fagir from Rupandehi, Rig Bahadur Gurung from Syanja, Kumar Raju Shahi from Dailekh, Binod Kumar Dagal Singh Limbu, Bimal Dhami and Arbin Chaudhary from Morang, Rajesh from Nawalparasi, Mogendra Mahara, Suraj Kumar Rai, Boyalal Mandal and Ram Magat Gotiya from Dhanusha, Nasom from Mahottari, Narayan Chaudhary from Kailali, Prem Prakash Chaudhary from Sunsari, Furba Sherpa from Taplejung, Yagya Bahadur KC from Dang, Saddam Hussein from Sarlahi and Suresh Kumar Chaudhary from Saptari.
It is learnt that the company has not yet granted residency visa to the workers. Victims complain that the company management had handed over their passport promising them to give salary and ticket before going out of contact.
