Prime Minister Oli condoles death of India’s former prime minister Singh

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed sorrow over the passing of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
In a Facebook post, Oli shared a photograph with Singh and recalled their discussions on issues of mutual interest between Nepal and India.
“Former prime minister of our friendly nation India, renowned economist, and my dear friend Dr Manmohan Singh has passed away at the age of 92. I recall our discussions on matters of mutual interest between Nepal and India. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the late Manmohan Singh,” Oli wrote.
India’s former prime minister Singh, widely regarded as an architect of India’s economic liberalisation and a landmark nuclear deal with the United States, died on Thursday.
Singh, the first Sikh to lead his nation, was prime minister from 2004 to 2014, serving a rare two terms in India. He had been undergoing care for age-related medical conditions, Reuters reported.
