The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said a westerly disturbance is currently affecting Nepal, bringing partly to generally cloudy weather to the high hills and mountainous regions of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Gandaki provinces, while other parts of the country remain mostly clear.

This afternoon, light snowfall is expected in a few areas of the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Hilly regions may see light rain in isolated areas.

Similar weather conditions are expected tonight in the regions above, with light snowfall in the high mountains and light rain in some hilly areas. Additionally, parts of the Madhesh Tarai may witness light rain at one or two locations.

Light rain is forecast in some areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while light snowfall is likely in several locations in the high hills and mountains across the country.

The division has cautioned residents to be vigilant as the weather conditions may disrupt daily life, transport, tourism, and aviation.
