Government announces Rs300,000 prize to each team member of SAFF Women's Championship runners-up

The government has announced it’d provide Rs300,000 to the players of the Nepali football team, who became the runners-up in the SAFF Women’s Championship.
Tanka Lal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, announced this decision following Nepal’s defeat to Bangladesh in the championship final on Wednesday.
In addition, the head coach will receive Rs200,000, while the manager, assistant coach, and team doctor will each receive Rs120,000 as prizes.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli hosted a lunch meeting with the team members on Thursday at his official residence in Baluwatar. Prime Minister Oli, along with Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh and other officials, attended the stadium to watch the match between Nepal and Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Additionally, on Wednesday, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City honoured the Nepali women’s football team with Rs2.5 million. Mayor Balendra Shah, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol, and Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragain handed over a cheque of Rs2.5 million to team captain Anjila Tumbapo Subba at Soaltee Hotel, witnessed by ANFA President Pankaj Nembang.
