The voting for the local-level by-elections is underway on Sunday.

According to the Election Commission, voting began at 7am and will continue until 5pm. Some polling centres are quiet, while others have been crowded since early morning.

Elections are being held for 41 vacant positions, including one mayor, one deputy mayor, and 33 ward chairpersons. 377 candidates are vying for the posts. Vote counting will begin after polls close, and results will be available on the Election Commission’s website.
