An Armed Police Force (APF) constable died after a bus hit a bike he was riding on in Sambhunath Municipality-6 of Saptari district along the East-West Highway on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Som Bahadur Magar, 25, stationed at Border Security Office, Saptari. He was riding pillion when the incident occurred.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 5061) heading towards east from west hit the motorbike (Sa 8 Pa 1393) this morning.

Similarly, a child died after being hit by a school bus in Surunga Municipality-8 of Saptari.

Police identified the deceased as six-year-old Nischal Sah, son of Dharma Sah of the same municipality.

The bus (Na 3 Kha 1629) belonging to Sunaulo Borading School hit Sah, a L.K.G student at the same school, while picking the students, police said.
