A man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter in Syangja district. He has been accused of repeatedly raping his daughter for two years by threatening her.

District Police Office Syangja said the man is being investigated after a case of incest-rape has been lodged against him. SP Rajkumar Lamsal said the man was arrested after the victim lodged a complaint with the police.

“The man had been raping the minor threatening her not to share it with anyone,” said SP Lamal. “The 12-year-old minor became the victim of rape for two years.  He even raped her at around 1 am on December 30. When the child couldn’t tolerate the torture, she said to him that she would tell the relatives about the incident, he threatened to kill her by pouring the hot water boiled for cattle the next day.”

Police refused to disclose further details about the incident.
