President summons Parliament session for April 25
Session called as per Tuesday’s Cabinet decision.

President Ramchandra Paudel has summoned the budget session of the federal Parliament on April 25.
The session has been called at 1 pm according to Article 93 (1) of the constitution, informed the Office of the President on Wednesday.
A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday had decided to write to the President to summon the session.
Ministers have said the government took the initiative to request the Head of the State to summon the parliamentary session also in view of the need for the passage of the School Education Bill, in line with their demand.
Issuing a video statement on Wednesday, Education Minister Bidya Bhattarai said that the government has taken the agitating teachers’ demands with urgency and that the House session was called early for the same reason.
Thousands of teachers have been protesting in Kathmandu, demanding passage of the bill for the past two weeks. Besides enacting a new law, teachers are also demanding benefits that are on par with those of civil servants.
