Light rainfall is occurring in the Kathmandu Valley, with more showers expected this afternoon, evening and tonight, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The Division said the ongoing rain is helping to gradually clear the haze blanketing much of the country, including the Valley.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Higher hills and mountainous areas may also see light snowfall.

In Bagmati Province, light snowfall is possible in parts of the Himalayan region this afternoon under generally to partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some hilly areas, while a few locations in the Tarai may also experience similar conditions.

Tonight, the weather is forecast to remain generally to partly cloudy across the province. Light snowfall may occur in some Himalayan areas, while a few hilly and Tarai locations could see light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty winds.
