The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that a westerly low-pressure system is currently affecting Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces.

In the hilly regions of these provinces, the weather is partly cloudy to generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are mainly clear to partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces this afternoon.

The weather will remain partly cloudy to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of these provinces, with light rain expected in a few places. The Terai regions will also experience partial to generally cloudy conditions, with light rain possible in one or two areas.

In the next 24 hours, light rain is expected in a few places in the hilly regions of Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces, along with one or two locations in the remaining areas. The Division has advised caution, as light snowfall is likely in some parts of the high-altitude and Himalayan regions of these provinces, as well as in the high-altitude areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

The Division has urged the public to be cautious about potential impacts on daily life, health, transportation, and air travel due to these weather conditions.
