The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country on Thursday due to the combined influence of local and westerly winds as well as a low-pressure area over Uttar Pradesh in India, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.

This afternoon, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some hilly areas of Koshi Province and other provinces. One or two places in Koshi Province may receive heavy rainfall. Light snowfall is also possible in some areas of the high hills and the Himalayan region.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the country will see mostly clear skies. Thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. Light rain and snowfall are also likely at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
