The Meteorological Forecasting Division said that light snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high-altitude areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces on Monday.

In the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places during the day. Light rain with thunder and lightning is also likely at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hills and mainly fair in the Tarai regions of most provinces.

During the night, light snowfall is likely at one or two places in the high-altitude areas of Koshi and Gandaki. Light rain with thunder and lightning is expected at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to mainly fair conditions.

In Madhesh Province, the weather will remain mainly fair with partial cloud cover throughout the day and night.
